A Pink Hotel
One of the loveliest places we visited on our recent Hawaiian vacation was an old pink hotel, the Royal Hawaiian.
Built in the 1920s, it was one of the first elegant hotels built on Waikiki Beach.
One side faces the ocean: the nearby beach is dotted with pink beach umbrellas.
The other side faces a grassy area where we saw children play.
The nearby veranda has a dozen or more rocking chairs where one can sit and rest.

A lovely, restful place to take a break!
