Squirrel Versus Cat

I have been looking at an online article that suggests ways to improve one's photographic skills... One tip not mentioned was trying to tell a story with pictures...


















Looking for material for a photo essay, I watched this drama between a cat and a squirrel in our back yard.














The cat was wandering through our yard. As it neared the squirrel's tree (where there is presumably a nest of young)...














... the squirrel followed on the overhead wire...














...scolding all the time!














I didn't linger long enough to see if the cat actually climbed the tree... but I suspect not!














But the agitated squirrel wasn't leaving anything up to chance!
