I've always wanted to make a two-color quilt - and even bought a book of patterns... but so far it hasn't happened...
Last week in New York City, there was a folk art exhibit of 651 red and white quilts, all owned by the same collector. Created over a span of three centuries, no two quilts are the same.
The folk art museum plans to create a catalog of them and Martha Stewart is featuring them in a program, so I may get a closer look.
Thanks to my daughter for pointing me in the direction of this blog, where I first read about this exhibit.
