Remembering...

I recently came across a group of photos taken a while back. For historical context, our kids were all teenagers at the time, Terry and I were 10 years away from retiring, and my mother had not yet moved from Kelowna to Ottawa. She decided to do that three or four years later.

Terry was a regular at an annual charity auction - and would bring home tickets for various events in the city. (Always a surprise!) Several times he got tickets for this river cruise here in Ottawa. We enjoyed being "tourists" in our own city.

It's unusual for us to have photos of the Rideau Falls on the Ottawa River from this angle...

Or the Chateau Laurier Hotel.- next to the Parliament buildings on the right, hidden by trees.

It's a surprise to see how much younger we looked then! (Just as it's a surprise nowadays to look in the mirror and see white hair and wrinkles! When did that happen?!)
