Whenever Terry and I head towards Hamilton, south of Toronto, we enjoy stopping for lunch in Dundas...
It's such s pretty place!
The weather was chilly last weekend when we were there - but street musicians were out braving the cold.
We were glad to step indoors for something to eat ... which is when I discovered a popular new item at Detour Coffee: buckwheat chocolate chip cookies sprinkled with salt. Surprisingly delicious!
(I don't know how those cookie crumbs landed on my coffee!)
Terry had coffee and a double baked croissant.
I couldn't leave before buying a few more cookies for the road!
I was doubly delighted when my daughter found the recipe for the cookies online.
We then drove up Sydenham Hill, overlooking Hamilton, where Olympic speed skater and cyclist, Clara Hughes, trained - in all kinds of weather! A lovely day - but chilly!
(Too chilly to take the seasonal horse-drawn wagon ride - which we saw circling around!)
