Last weekend was Easter weekend.
In spite of the fact that Terry and I spent the holiday alone and did NOT go to church (because we haven’t both received our COVID vaccines yet), it WAS a joyful celebration - full of unexpected gifts.
The first gift was a homemade treat dropped off by friends we often celebrate holiday meals with...
Like us, Greg and Janet are isolating from friends during the current pandemic. But it was great to see their faces and wave at them in their car.
The second “gift” was an appointment to get my first dose of Pfizer vaccine... (Terry will have to wait a bit to get his.)
I felt quite emotional as I walked into the mobile clinic... Getting the vaccine was such a joy - an important, hopeful step!
Then, another surprise - when two young friends from our church stopped by with cookies and a card...
There were other holiday gifts: phone calls, video chats, and sunny (if cool) weather...
A wonderful weekend, all in all!
