I recently borrowed this book from the library...
It's about the spiritual journey of a well-known American journalist whose beat was the White House, back in the day when George Bush (the son) was president...
This journalist's spiritual journey originated when he and his wife decided they wanted to raise their children in a religious home, The problem was that he and his wife didn't share a common religious faith: His wife was Christian and, although his mother was Catholic, he identified more with his father - who was Jewish.
I found it to be an unusual and interesting autobiographical read.
When I finished reading the book, Terry picked it up and started reading it as well. It's the first time he's ever been interested in a book I've brought home from the library...
That was really an interesting book, he commented when he was done.
What did you find interesting about it? I asked.
It shows how religious faith is an important component in a person's personal development, Terry replied. I found it interesting how, along the way, a few key players he spoke with helped him understand life.
