Daytime Trick-or-Treating in Quebec

Last year Halloween was on a Saturday. It also happened to be the day we were leaving Mt. Tremblant after a short stay there.

Before leaving the resort, we noticed families with costumed children arriving to "trick or treat" in the pedestrian village during the daylight hours.








 

Later, passing through St. Jovite, a nearby town, we noticed children, dressed in costumes, going from store to store.

We couldn't help but wonder, as we wandered through the town: Was daytime trick-or-treating a normal thing?... Or only since Halloween was on a Saturday?
