A Good Approach to Gardening

The mailman came by one hot day last week as I was sitting under the tree, laying down newspapers to smother out the gout weed, then dumping piles of mulch on top.



My face was red from the heat and the effort ... and I was hot!

He nodded, then said: When I get home, I do an hour or two of yard work every night. I'm willing to do that in May and June. But once July and August come, I'm NOT going to do anything but enjoy it!









I think I'll adopt his attitude. After all this hard work, I'll make sure I take time to enjoy the fruit of my labors!
