Time to trim back trees that are overgrown (like this lilac bush)...
... divide (and multiply!) plants that are getting crowded (like these hostas)...
(Of course that means moving wheelbarrow loads of compost and soil to fill in new holes and enrich the soil.)
It's all hard work! But it's exciting too - knowing that...
... from these sad-looking root divisions...
... NEW life and color will appear in our our yard next spring!
