I'm not sure who my enemies are, but I suspect the squirrels that bound around the yard all day. (Or could it be slugs that come out of the ground at night?) In any event, my tomatoes are being attacked!
After many years of not having a veggie garden, I decided to plant some tomatoes this year. A neighbor offered me some plants she started as seedlings, and I couldn't resist...
Fresh vine-ripened tomatoes taste so good!
But something is chewing on my little green tomatoes hanging on the vine! I decided to remove some and let them ripen indoors. They're not very big!
One has ripened on a sunny window sill...
Another is beginning to ripen on the vine... But both have little bites taken out of them.
These look fine! My only recourse is to pick them before the squirrels (or slugs) get into them! ...Even if that means I pick them when they are VERY SMALL and VERY GREEN!
