Fair Weather Trip to Toronto

Terry and I recently drove to Toronto for a few days - trying to avoid the snowy weather that was in the forecast.

We left the snow behind as we approached Kingston.

Toronto was snow-free - though windy and cold.

A day trip to Dundas and Guelph reminded us that it was still winter!

Back to snowless Toronto...

On our return trip home, we found ourselves in snow again as we approached Brockville...

... where we stopped for lunch.

Yes, it's definitely winter!

This may well be our last road trip for a while... It was also  a reminder that, even in Canada, some places have more - or less - snow than others. My brother - who lives in Texas - thinks that when he sees places like Buffalo, NY inundated with snow on the news, we - further north in Canada - must have it a lot worse. It's not necessarily so. Weather is a "patchy" thing. So much depends on where the wind blows the clouds.
