Today is Remembrance Day - the day we remember soldiers who fought in various wars and peace-keeping activities on behalf of Canada.
Our symbol for Remembrance Day is the red poppy - a flower that grows in military cemeteries in Europe.
Last year, the art studio where I often take painting and pottery classes had this interesting poppy display: a web of poppies hanging from the second floor down to the first. And nearby, a large crocheted poppy.
Beautiful!
