This last week of February, we have been enjoying spring-like weather...
Perfect for maple syrup production: cold nights and warm days.... One of the studio potters mentioned that a neighbor of hers (here in the city) has tapped a maple tree in his yard. That would be fun!
The snow around us is melting - splotches of grass are visible - though a lot of snow-packed ice remains. I can't wait until there are enough large patches of grass out there for me to walk in our yard again without fearing slipping on ice.
Winter hasn't really been all that long. Our first snow fell in early December, I think. But I'm ready for an early spring!
