March Snow

I always expect March to usher in spring... When I was teaching, I looked forward to "Spring Break" in March...

Iranian students celebrated their New Year on the "first day of spring," March 21. Back home, they told me, they had picnics in the woods...

But here in Canada, March can just as easily bring MORE WINTER...














Here is yesterday's snow falling...














Spring snow can be so heavy that it bends the branches low. Look! It has transformed my bird-feeder into a snow-covered squirrel feeder!

(I wonder if squirrels will be out and about, or if they'll decide this is a perfect day to stay in their nests! I'll have to keep my camera handy!)
