No STAIRING

A lot of construction is happening in our neighborhood. When Terry and I go out for a walk, we often stop and STARE more than once, amazed at at all the changes taking place.

(We are probably not the only ones!)

I wonder if this is a renovation or if someone is building a new house,
Terry commented, as we paused in front of this building, a few blocks from home. Sometimes it's hard to tell.

Then I noticed a small sign, not far from where we were standing: STAIRING $ 1.00

What do you think that means?
I asked Terry. That's a cheap price for STAIRS...

Look at the rest of it, he replied. They don't like people STARING at them. (But they spelled "staring" wrong. Better bring over a copy of your book!)
