So, of course, we wandered over to the port in Old Montreal to see them! (The biggest one had been in the movie, Mutiny on the Bounty.)

We didn't get tickets to go on board - we admired them from the pier.

We also admired the large, steel-hulled ships docked nearby. (Amazing something that big and heavy can float!)

We didn't go into the Montreal Science Center - located on one of the piers. (Another time!)

But we did stop and admire "Habitat 67" a housing project created for the 1967 Montreal World Fair, Expo 67. After all these years, the structure still look ultra modern... I wonder if it's windy in winter... situated as it is in the middle of the St. Lawrence River...

And of course - no visit to Old Montreal would be complete without stopping for coffee or ice cream in Jacques Cartier Square... "Place Jacques-Cartier" in French.
(Hard to avoid pictures with shadows on a warm and sunny day!)
