YELLOW and BLUE Spring Flowers Currently in Bloom

A yellow helleborus plant is in bloom in our side garden bed.

It has a mass of buds and a few flowers.

Its dark green leaves are intertwined with invasive two-toned Bishop's weed. In the picture, a tulip is also growing nearby, in the top right corner. If the squirrels don't snack on it, hopefully it will bloom soon.

These helleborus flowers are yellowish, but hard to photograph: When they bloom, they face downwards...

Another yellow flower currently blooming is the tulipa tarda, a small star-shaped perennial growing in a number of places in our yard.

Blue scillas have also begun to bloom.

Scillas are small, but in a mass, they add a pretty bluish hue to flower beds. These have spread to different parts of our yard... the odd one here and there sprouting on the lawn as well. They must be self-seeding.

It's great to see the yard turn green again - with flowers here and there.
