Upper Canada Village: Alight at Night

Last weekend Terry and I drove to "Upper Canada Village" - an hour's drive south of Ottawa - to see it "Alight at Night."

It was interesting to wander around this old-fashioned museum-village and see the sights we had enjoyed in daylight in summer.

We joined in at the a carol sing.in the church..

... led by two talented young musicians.

We stopped in at the bakery - and later bought a loaf of freshly-baked bread.

Price of admission includes a horse-drawn wagon ride - and a mini train ride, that took us into the countryside, in the dark.

We also had turkey dinner in the "Red Barn" cafeteria.

It's a lovely way to spend a winter's evening...

The village, "alight at night," is open every weekend in December - until early January.

We had a lovely time...
