What To Do With Yarn Scraps?!

I have knit several cowls over the past few weeks. What to do with the scraps of chunky yarn that are left over?

I decided to play around a bit. I knit - then crocheted - a patchwork square.














Is this the beginning of a pillow? An afghan?! (At this stage, I really don't know!) Inspiration doesn't always come in sudden flashes of knowing. More often it's a process of trial and error - until suddenly it looks about right!
