A Spring Walk at Andrew Hayden Park

Now that spring is here, Terry and I try to take interesting walks...

One cold but sunny day recently, we happened to be near Andrew Hayden Park, so we headed over for a “quick” walk... Quick - because there was a chilly wind.

Unlike most days, there were very few people out walking...

But the squirrels were running around!

The ducks and geese were also undeterred, though I noticed some seagulls sitting on the grass, feathers fluffed up to keep warm.

There was no ice on the river - but the cold wind formed ice caps on the water. And waves washing on shore created fancy frozen designs.

I’ve never noticed that happening before...

But then, normally, on days this cold and windy, I simply stay home!
