Lilac Season

Lilacs began to bloom a week or so ago in the Ottawa area...

I love lilacs, especially their lovely smell.

In our yard, there is a bush in full bloom which I can see through the window.

There must be a lot of lilacs in our neighborhood, because I can smell them when I go on my daily walks.

One of our friends recently developed an allergy to the scent of lilacs.

I didn't know that could happen...

Now he has to avoid them...

I wonder: Does that mean he stays indoors as much as possible when they're in bloom?! 

I should have asked him.
