Signs that Summer is Here!
After a rainy spring, summer is finally here.
The weather is hot, so some head to a beach on one of the rivers that flow through Ottawa or to Dow's Lake - an artificial lake created when the canal was being built.
People enjoy running, walking and cycling on the path next to the water.
This year I see that the city has added lounge chairs for those who want to relax beside the water. We haven't tried those yet... I wonder if they're in the shade.
Nearby a boat is moored at the edge of the lake. I wonder if it has arrived from Kingston via the canal ...
Arriving home, I notice that my front flower bed is at its peak.
