Tulip season is here! Ottawa's Tulip Festival began last weekend and continues for another two weeks.
Every year thousands of visitors come to see the tulips in bloom... One never knows how far they have come. In fact, last summer in Canterbury, England, I met a librarian from Chicago, who said she had once come on a bus tour with her mother to see Ottawa's famed tulips!
For many, last Sunday - Mother's Day - was a perfect opportunity to spend family time together - walking around, taking pictures...
Also enjoying snacks and checking out the displays in the large tents set up near the flower beds.
A lot of flowers were just beginning to bloom. Next weekend will probably see the tulips at their peak.
