When I showed a friend the mohair and acrylic mix of yarn I had discovered in my knitting bin - yarn which may have belonged to my mother as I don't remember buying it - she suggested it would make a soft prayer shawl.
Even in these bright colors? I asked.
She loaned me her Prayer Shawl Companion book for a few days. I have been browsing through it. I'm not sure that I'm ready to make a prayer shawl, but I was delighted by the many interesting knitting designs...
... designs that would look lovely in knit afghans too!
