Birds of Spring

No flowers yet in our part of Canada - but as the weather improves, I am more aware of the birds...

Crows stay around all winter. This one was trying to build a nest during a spring snow fall.

Blue jays and cardinals can sometimes be seen in winter, but I notice them more once spring arrives.. (Like this cardinal hiding in the cedar hedge.)

But the true bird of spring is the robin, who flies south in the fall.

Their return is a sure sign of spring!
