Pottery Show in Burnstown

Last weekend, Terry and I headed to Burnstown, Ontario, for Richard Gill's fall art show.

We both admire his work...

One summer, I drove out daily for a week to take a pottery workshop from him.

This year's show focuses on special people and moments in Canadian history...







Terry wanted to buy a hanging (top row, center) depicting immigrants getting off a ship at Halifax harbor.

My father landed there in the spring of 1929. (My mother and her family arrived in December, 1928 - but they landed in Saint John, New Brunswick.)

It's part of your family history, Terry said...

Yes, but aren't we trying to downsize? I replied...



(I see that Terry's more sentimental than me!)
