A Quebec City Farmers' Market

On a recent trip to Quebec City, I discovered a farmers' market near the old port.

Much of the produce there comes from the farming community on the nearby island of Orleans.

It was hard not to buy a little of this and that...

There was home-made jam, maple syrup, apple cider...

... cheese, and much more!

I was particularly drawn to this pie stand - where fruit pies, meat pies and quiches are sold.

We ate a delicious sausage lunch - but I somehow forgot to take a picture of it before eating it!

I would definitely come back again!
