But this walk was full of surprises.
We noticed a tree blown down in a recent wind storm...
...the trunk lying near the stump where it had broken off...
(Hopefully no one was hurt when it fell...)
One street over, another large tree was being hauled away...
(Had it fallen in the wind storm, or simply been cut down?)
Further down the block, rounding a corner, we encountered a mini-carnival!
Terry headed over to explore... and discovered free hamburgers and soft drinks!
(Most of our walks are pretty ordinary, but this one turned into quite an adventure!!)
