Jelly Roll? Layer Cake?

For those of us trying to curb our craving for desserts, quilters have added yet another temptation, in the names "Jelly Roll" and "Layer Cake."














I have never bought a "jelly roll" of pre-cut fabric, but I recently got a "layer cake"...














... a bundle of 10-inch squares, all color coordinated...














And now I'm trying to figure out what to do with it!


















There are lots of quilting patterns out there - even free ones...

But I am attracted to a quilt I saw on a magazine cover. I don't have the magazine, so I did a quick sketch... Now I have to figure out the dimensions...
