Trusting Neighborhood Ducks

I enjoy watching ducks... They seem to take life as it comes, calmly - unlike our hyper-active squirrels...

Once, driving down Carling Avenue, a busy street near our home, I wondered why traffic had come to a halt. What were all the cars waiting for...?!

Before long, I noticed a mother duck calmly leading her brood across the four-lane road! Everyone had stopped to watch... And we all breathed a sigh of relief when they arrived safely on the other side...

Such trust!

This same trust characterizes the ducks in our neighborhood.

No flurry to rush off when I approach to take a picture...

A kind neighbor has left a basin of water. Appreciative, they sit for a while and stay...
