The Queen and the Squirrel

While in Toronto recently, I noticed an interesting piece of wall art that I don't remember seeing before: Queen Victoria... and a squirrel.

The mural is on Queen Street West in Toronto, near Trinity Bellwoods Park - home of the famous white squirrels... though the squirrel - in this painting - looks more blue than white.

I wonder - Was Queen Street in Toronto named after Queen Victoria? And are there white squirrels anywhere else in Canada?!
