Perth's Maple Syrup Festival

Last Saturday Terry and I drove to Perth, where we enjoyed the weather and the festival celebrating the maple syrup harvest.

A lot of vendors had set up along the main street.

All was going well, until the occasional gusts of wind threatened to topple displays.

Then vendors had to scramble to prevent their tents from blowing away!

One tent even toppled into the canal near where Terry and I were having lunch...

... at a lovely Mexican restaurant.

We stopped briefly at the petting zoo...

... listened to some street singers...

...enjoyed a brief walk downtown, where we admired the lovely old homes and buildings.

Then headed home again. It was a full day!
