Celebrating... the New Baby!

Last Saturday I attended a party celebrating the birth of our first grandchild - also the first grandchild of the other grandmother, who hosted the event.

It was a festive occasion!

And a hot day!

(The food was amazing!)

Relatives and friends gathered near the pool, then moved indoors for dessert...

The baby seemed to enjoy meeting so many aunts, great-aunts and friends...

All had come to celebrate her arrival.

After pictures were taken and most of the guests had left, the baby and I headed to a quiet room - away from the noise and heat... There we both promptly fell asleep, she in a baby recliner and I in a lazy-boy!

A perfect ending to a lovely celebration!
