One of the most amusing commercials I have ever seen was created to encourage Germans to learn English. As a teacher of English, I found it very funny - and promptly shared it with any colleagues and relatives who spoke German.
But it is apparently pertinent to more than language learning! My daughter recently saw it again at a "workplace health and safety" presentation!
Whatever angle you take, it is a funny skit!
Hi Marlene...As a German native, beeing married to an American , we talk a lot about "foreign" language and the funny situations you can get into, because of not understanding another language other than english...Although the ad is really funny, the majority of the people in Germany know at least one foreign language...My kids grew up billingual learning their third language in (american military) school rigth now...But no offense here...I really like your blog it´s fun to read...And as you can tell, it makes people think about different issues...Greetings Karin
