Enjoying an Autumn Walk at Dow's Lake

Pleasant weather makes me want to get out of the house and walk.

One afternoon recently, I wanted to go somewhere interesting - for a walk.

But it was getting late... (It now gets dark by 7 pm!)

If Terry and I drove anywhere out of town, it could be dark by the time we arrived!

What to do?!

How about a walk around Dow's Lake?!

This man-made lake in the middle of town is popular when tulips are in bloom.

But it has lovely flowers all summer long...

Would many people be out walking on a warm fall evening?

We headed out...

It was lovely!

After circumventing the flower beds -  that were nearing the end of their blooming season, we crossed the street to the board walk beside the lake...

There weren't many walkers out - but the ducks were undeterred.

There were a few canoes out, too...

So pleasant!

Not that far from home...

Why don't we come here more often?!
