A Country Drive... Before Snow Comes

I have been trying to make the most of every day there is no snow on the ground...

By getting out and walking... Or taking drives into the country.

Last Saturday found us in Manotick, picking up meat pies at a Christmas Craft Fair in the old mill...

Then we headed farther out into the country to Burnstown - to view Richard Gill's latest pottery pieces

Richard's theme this year was the studios of great artists...

Here is his plaque depicting Canadian artist, Emily Carr, who did a lot of painting outdoors...

They were having an anniversary sale.

(Perfect timing for Christmas shopping!)

Driving home at the end of the day, Terry commented on how much he had enjoyed getting out, especially chatting with Richard.

Our little excursion reminded me that you don't have to go far... to get away!
