My Mother as a Child!

My mother doesn't have a lot of childhood pictures.



















So it was a real surprise to find this one recently...

The photo is dated 1933. Second from the left, my mother was about 14 years old. The girl next to her on the left (Cecilia Minchau) must have been a good friend for many years. A decade later, she was one of the bridesmaids at my parents' wedding! Strange that I have no recollection of ever meeting her. They must have gone their separate ways by the time I was born.
