It is easy to find ways to keep busy on weekends. Our free time is a brief reward for the "daily grind"! Why "waste" some of that precious weekend time going to church.?! For me, a weekly church service is a meal that feeds me: I feel a certain emptiness for the whole week if I miss it!
But one of the books am currently reading* reminds me that "... we do not go to church for ourselves alone..." We go to church to support each other: A Christian community that meets regularly together is "a body of faithful who stand in witness, first to one another, that God is God."
So I attend church for myself... and for others!
