End of Autumn's Feast of Color

Last weekend, we drove to Toronto...

We wanted to take advantage of our mild weather, while roads were still bare of snow!

Once the snow falls, we tend to stay close to home.

All along the route, I was surprised to see some trees still had colorful leaves.

By November, I expected them all to be bare! But they weren't!

I thought that leaves changing color was governed by hours of sunlight...

Maybe it's more complicated than that!

As we drove along, the scenery around us was a feast for the eyes! Knowing that any day now, everything could be enveloped in cold white snow made the fall colors all the more wonderful!
